2nd Day of Chinese New Year

The Chinese New Year celebration will continue for up to 15th day.  The 2nd day is home coming at in-law’s place and visiting of relatives and friends.  To night we have dinner at my mother-in-law’s house.  The food was delicious and we have our fill.   Later I accompanied my two sons to a movie with Reverend and friends.

1st Day of Chinese New Year

Today is not only a double celebration but a triple; Chinese New Year, Valentine’s Day and Sunday Worship celebration.  Sunday Worship is still our priority over others.

The first day of Chinese New Year traditionally is visiting of parents and relatives.  There is always an exception that friends may visit my house.   It is a moment of giving “Ang Pau” red packet with money to young children and unmarried young adults.  Besides that, it is a time of sharing and serving our good food, mandarin oranges, titbit, etc.
